The private Mitrakos Vineyard has a total area of about 60 acres and is situated on the famous for for its grapes Nemea region. It is planted with the classical red variety of the region, Agiorgitiko. The distance that separates it from the winery of the enterprise is very small, so the grape route to it lasts only a little, contributing to the preservation of its agility.\n\n<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Nemea has many vineyards, some of which are on the plain and others at higher altitudes, on slopes of the surrounding hills or mountains. Mitrakos Vineyards are located in four locations: Kalyvia, Douramani, Konigeri and Livadakia. In the first three vineyards, the vines are located in \"crustocks\" or elsewhere at the foot of low mountains and cover about 50% of the total area of \u200b\u200bMitrakos vineyards. The vineyards of the plain, in Livadakia, are greatly favored by the proximity of the river Asopos. Its influence greatly lowers the temperature at night, resulting in an excellent aromatic potential in the grape produced there.<\/p>

About half of the 60 acres of the Mitrakos vineyard were planted in the early 1970s. They are one of their best productive moments with regard to the quality of the raw material, since the plants are about 40 years old.<\/p>

The remaining acres consist of newer plantations that were made in the early 2000s. The vineyard's ability, therefore, to produce many different wines of various gustative styles is strong, thus giving to the winemaker the flexibility of choice.<\/a> For the production of white wines, with which the estate completes its range, Fanis Mitrakos supplies selected grapes from neighboring areas, with the help of an experienced agronomist and the cooperation of his oenologist<\/p>

The varieties used for the production of white wines are predominantly Roditis and Chardonnay.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
