The modern city has been built at an altitude of 37 meters, amphitheatrically around the hill of Prophet Elias, but its history turns back millennia with the first mention of the 10th century BC. century. Aidonia, Ancient Nemea, Ancient Cleones, Asprokampos, Galatas, Gimno, Dafne, Kastraki, Kefalari, Koutsi, Leontio, Mpozikas, Malandreni, Petri, Titani and Psari.
Agiorgitiko seems to be cultivating in Nemea, based on the Ottoman archives, already in the 16th century. Wine-growing and wine production, however, have roots in antiquity.
Nemea is probably the largest PDO area in the world. of Greece<\/a>, in which about 22,000 vineyards are cultivated with the variety Agiorgitiko. The various villages where you cultivate the variety are also separate ecosystems with their own terroir, which has a significant impact on the diversity, quality and potential of Nemea wines for exploration by wine drinkers.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
