Nemea of Mitrakos Winery is a red dry wine in which the winemaker's viticulture and wine-making beliefs are crystallized.
Tjis wine comes every year from the carefull selection through systematic sampling of those vineyards that are the best in a number of stringent specifications that relate, on the one hand, to the breadth and the expressivity of the aroma of the fruit and on the other hand the structure of tannins and anthocyanins and its flavor condensation.
The grapes are harvested at the optimum moment and come in a very short time in an excellent condition at the winery, followed by a red vinification tailored to the production of modern Mediterranean red wines for aging.
The goal is always the optimal aromatic expression of Agiorgitiko but always in combination with the terroir of each vineyard separately.
Eventually the harmony of wine ends with careful aging in French oak barrels.
NEMEA MITRAKOS is a red wine with a vivid purple color and a highly complex aroma of fruits and spices - dominated by strawberry and blueberry jam, cinnamon and nutmeg jam - which expresses the rich aromatic and tasting potential of the vineyard and variety.
In the mouth is presented a rich and beautifully concentrated with a tangy taste, strong but structured and velvety tannins.
An wine for long aging with a strong personality is looking for a delicious match of dishes of a similar strong personality. Red meat rich in protein, hunting and intense red sauces will always be a fitting combination. Yellow hard but also cheesy cheeses can also give a harmonious delight.
